This poem was created at the beginning of Black Breastfeeding Week 25th August 2022. Ruth knew she wasn’t able to host a Black Breastfeeding Week event this year as she has done every year since 2018, due to an unforeseen challenging year with family. Ruth then wrote this poem as a way to celebrate and contribute to Black Breastfeeding Week. Zoom into image to read the text. Though this poem was thought of for BBW, this poem relates to the every human race which has considered or initiated breastfeeding their child.
